WHY? 〰️

During the last few years, I’ve been in classrooms introducing middle and high school aged students to the visual arts while working in a smaller glass studio assisting workshops with customers of all ages. There are few greater privileges than introducing something new in the arts to an individual. It inspires awe, it allows for failure, and it stimulates growth.

In this time I’ve realized my desire to bring glassblowing to my neighbors and community in Charlottesville. That’s where the idea of Milk Glass began.

We’re excited that the mobility of our studio will allow us to partner with varying demographics across Charlottesville. Opening this studio can lead to opportunities for collaborations with local and world-renowned artists, networking through events, and providing jobs along with mentoring to younger artists.
